How many times have you found yourself complaining about how slow mail delivery is in the office, or about how long it takes to get computer problems fixed, or about how confusing an expense report form is?

If your internal support systems don't work well, if they create confusion or bottlenecks, if they aren't responsive to the needs of employees, they will lead to lower employee morale.

Invest the time to make sure that your internal support systems are efficient and responsive.  After all, no one wants to feel that their important work time is being consumed by trivial tasks, inefficient systems or activities that simply wasteful.

Most importantly, ensure that those employees who provide your support services understand the critical role they play in your operations. All too often, they may not understand how they fit into the big picture and that their work is pivotal to the success of the entire enterprise.  Don't miss this easy opportunity to boost employee morale within your organization!
